On 15th August, 2025, Loreto Convent, Darjeeling, marked Independence Day with a dignified ceremony to remember and honour the lives of our freedom fighters. 

The ceremony commenced with the flag hoisting by the Chief Guest Mrs P. Pradhan followed by the rendition of the National Anthem. An impressive march past was displayed by students from Classes 8 to 12, with Teresa Ball and Mary Ward House securing the first place for their synchronised march past. The event concluded with both the Chief Guest and the Coordinator delivering inspiring speeches that resonated with the students followed by a harmonious Loreto Chorus.
