Description:
On 25th April 2025, our school held a memorial service in honour of Pope Francis (1936-2025) at Monica Afonso Hall. The prayer service brought together students from both the junior and senior schools to pay tribute to his legacy.
Pope Francis, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio (17 December 1936 – 21 April 2025), was the head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State from 2013 until his death in 2025. He was the first Jesuit Pope and the first born outside of Europe since the 8th-century Syrian pope Gregory III.
He shall be remembered for his kindness, compassion and service to all.
